Introduction
For over a hundred years, Jane Austin has been entertaining and educating young women in the ways of Victorian England through Pride and Prejudice.
How many times have we met the sisters in the book? It is fascinating that despite the passage of time and the change in geography, we still find the basic characters: the beautiful but somewhat ditzy older sister Jane; the level-headed and sensible Lizzy; the bookish nerd Mary, Lydia the slut, and the ever patient Mr. Bennett.
Perhaps the most important thing about this wonderful book is the manner in which the author demonstrates how our choice of moral values translates into our happiness in life.
But a book like this needs no long introduction. Raise the curtain upon the story!
